A day lost!

It could easily be two?
My neck so dammed sore I lost the whole damned day. Doc’s earlier talk the last week about the forming a blood clot in the neck that let may go and move into the brain has worried me with continued added stiffness inmy nech worried me a little more than a little bit. Waking up AM last Picking my head up of the pillow was some excruciating painful. I had a neck so uncooperative could be so bloody heavy. It wasn’t easy getting up, taking both my hands to lift my head I could have used a third hand just to help me push my body vertical. OMG, I was so painful in an accumulated effort trying to look either up or down, either left or right. And sudden movement up or down has had it blood rushing weight like shifting weight also. A bit frightened if not concerned for a cold be problem I called a friend close around the corner took me to the ER for a checkup.
All my signs normal, sympathetic to pain believing me, I was sent home to get into my stash. Since I’ve been home I’ve been into some heavy medication my neck wrapped in nuked rice neck wrapping an near continuous sleeping since home’s arrival. Seems the sleeping the most beneficial escape the pain and unsteady walking my skull finally deprived the heavily active iron ball beat it insides out my skull bone.
Only good thing I cab relate to this malady, I‘ve still got to be alive to feel this top heavier pain..…. ER advice…..see my personal physician the first of the week. Yeah sure! Easy for them to say. My Doc’s on a
well deserved weeks vacation until after New Year’s.
Meaner, meaner, Doc ain’t left me his home phone number? Supposing he can’t but take only so much of me meee!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I a-woke late this morning. Not remembering what I had for supper last, regardless either I did or didn’t I was famished this AM. Doing natures calling and seeing a big double portioned piece apple pie I absconded with it taking it with me back to my lair. Pie, my rattlers taken, proposing to make a change for a longer daddy longlegs rice filled sock, I resettled into patch-worked diagonally spread across my pallet for cocoon use. All my bones positioned as well as they’ll ever be that quilt tucked in all cozy like about me I again added my pre-heated rice-bag to my neck, pulled up the last flap of my quilt’s corner and with in minutes I was fast asleep in deep slumber, beyond my pains reach. I’m supposing these few moments made up me a short brunch.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sleeping another six hours I a-wakened to a quiet house. Reminiscent of thirty five years earlier should Have waken them the little people mob was either in or up to something. I blinked, my eyelids were free of pain. I tried turning my head to the right/to the left. Hey, the movement was about as good as I could imagined at this time. Throwing the blanket back form my top, the kitten on my chest to young to offer any consoling was more likely ready to play with a fresh playmate. I wasn’t that fresh yet. Raising my head a bit, it didn’t feel like it were about to fall off. I turned it a bit to the right in Her Mostess’s direction, then away to watch the blades of the fan some, the neck’s swing had improved some. Getting on late into the afternoon I needed to take my rattlers. I figured those I had take last night. Remerging I had them bottled in my pock for my ER time I had better find’em and get back int into the regular routine. Wasn’t easy finding them, to my even asking in what pocket had the old lady let me put them in. Reorganizing again, pills at hand, a sip that awful stuff elixir, Put my sock of rice in to the microwave fuddled with the dials program choices all of them playing the same old tune. every time its station going off the air. Dumb Radio!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It’s evening under full darkness for real. Had a piece of one them glued together fried fish patty‘s. Ghastly stuff after eating all the Great Lakes species still wiggling when their sides are lain over the coal’s there‘s no comparison sure. Now that was some good old fishing days cooking and eating
Well now, sitting here, putting in a bit more quality time with Frieda a TV commercial suggested popcorn. It sounded good to me. I had mentioned popcorn would make a delicious closing before going to bed.
Then for a drink I suggested maybe she could mix some grape juice together with some Canada dry ginger ail. There was some conversation between us. She got stuck in her head grape juice and my trying to get her mind to see it my way I felt like I was talking to a chopping block. Six bottle grape juice good enough to put some extra iron in our physical systems was a much better trade off than fluidly spend the Cherry juice when small cherry additions to the apple cider physical benefits it served me (US) better used as directed. It took me three rounds of explanations before I had gotten through that sometimes Herr Clink head of her‘s.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While awake long enough, long enough to witness two TV flicks We talk about the difference’s between quiet these days and those day’s of fifty years ago. We also spoke of the blessed early to bed needs for our babies (children) during those very heavily blessed evening when our children required their 6:30 PM bed times assuring their parents a many a quality evenings speaking of dreams, enjoyment the delicate times, and those filled with pleasurable pursuits.
Then by golly I had no idea I still had some of that old zing for capping the delightfully reminiscent evening I dizzied her where she had set…

Good news Bad news

Good news first, I’m alright, bad news my‘98 Chevy still drivable turned $200.00 Junk. Good news the couple whom I got in their way are good with no injuries, bad news their Chevy truck totaled. Worst part all this news, this is one terrible way for people to meet running the hard way into each other. A lovely couple, I hope we may be friends in spite the accident. We live approximately only a mile apart.
Second goof, I should have invited then over to see the cattle, particularly next spring for the children’s’ enjoyment. perhaps even seeing a new born calf’s birth.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As for the home front before all this accident business started the idled Cushman truckster has sill refused to start my having given it both a small alcohol and large dose of gasoline. While the Truckster remained firewood loaded knowing it go again, I rearranged the Greene’s cargo and forced my backing to the wood pile. Some of the six year old seasoned ash loaded, some this season’s cut up dead elm the three year old seasoned cherry firewood has once again been uncovered to satisfy my hunger nearing its wanted pleasant smell heating the house, even though the aromatic treat would follow after the holidays.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay backing up my presumes lack of presumed expected the hearing the animals talk on Christmas eve some lovely ladies had reminded me I speak and hear of and from the critters the whole year round. Like Donna had said, “ Oh come on now, Fernan. You know good and well the animals talk. They tell you when they're hungry and when they're horny. You can read the signs when they're telling you they have a problem. Oh yes, they talk to people like you, me, and Paula.”
How right you are Donna, bottle fee Silly Sally was an avid communicator often approaching me when I was a field on perchance I may have a treat or her. Then there was cow “524”who on the same birth of her calf would on the dame day display the orneriest behavior attacking me in a true motherly fashion, always making it a challenge my checking her new born for the records vital statistics; and, the usually the third day late come up to me with a full body massage and a kiss deep enough to move my lower lip well up past either one of my ears. Oh yes, she was a communicator. And how about Wheezy every so often from behind me she’d side up to me nuzzling her nose between my body and arm to massage the sides of my ribs. Her behavior was a clear indication she liked favored me. What it had amounted to she start her wheezing every time she had became emotionally nervous, when also at those times I stood by her in my way doing my best to calm her, Oh yes there were times I might have supposedly been late getting o my evening chores. An as far fetched as it may seem I have had one o my grand ladies come to me thanking me my taking care of them. Yes, the animals talk, by voice (dozens of them), body language (many attitudes), and by the flagging of their ears liking semaphore signals, I‘ve never intermitted all those.
The way I see the animals, caring for and protecting their young, teaching them what hey needed to know I do believe a many ans animal species has a souls. May they all be blessed.

Post Christmas disappointments.

I didn’t get a new shake weight and demonstrator to go along with my old thigh master. Come to think of it I didn’t get a demonstrator with the thigh master for dumb bells or chicken soup either

Being Christmas it has been rumored the animals talk. I’ve listened hard all night and day and ain’t heard a peep out of them.

Oh well that's the way the monkey sings by its tail.

Christmas Gifts

Waking early as liking a sneaky kid thinking he’s gonna get an uncensored look at the rand old Elf himself the house was cozily warm, finding the fire low. It was am ideal time to clean the iron box’s ashes out. The ash bucket left sitting atop the stove to radiate its welcome warm until the newly laid fire was up to taking the first fires place.

Open water, a lil’ grain, alfalfa cubes……
May there be “Peace on earth good will to men.” has been the standard I’ve listened to for a or many a year. However, it would seem that standard has been twisted under some magical myth. Take for instance There’s a great big metallic shinny red combination toting/wrapping bags fill to the top with a crepe covering tucked all about that very over flowing edges. It’d have to be the easiest gift wrap wrapper I’ve seen.
As for the rest of the magical gifts Her Mostess traditionally wrapped in that flimsy paper stuff one them fancy high toned evening gowns for escorting your lady out upon the town. Ass for me I open the wrapping paper to one of them similarly high toned dress shirt’s missing buttons on two button holed sleeves. And I’ll guess it came with a fancy price tag just to pay for all the white stiffening paper folded into it to give a snappy look as if it could hold it’s own at one them cocktailed parties. Enough of this supposing my last unwrapped held with in it two pair heavily made wool socks for what? A suggested cure for my cold feet to take the old lady out one more time. The first honest gift I could/can actually relate to some reality use.
…..and this what we got? Some deer bring by one tricky jolly old Elf dropping off one reality puzzle.
Bah Humbug!

Christmas Eve

As usual all prepared I’ve unusually been on the ball for the correct Her Mostess holiday gift for sometime leading up to this very seriously gift giving signs of deep seated love expressing the depths of my heart.
While I had been diligent in picking the just right gift she’d enjoy above any of all the rest, There has been a little might of a problem. I haven’t gotten it as of yet. Ohhhh, I’ve known for sometime what mighten the circumstance have been beyond my immediate control to have it filled by this time already. Excuses include I’ve been in the right place at the right time sitting upon an anemic wallet, I’ve missed the shop’s open door’s only a moment before the proprietors had gone out for lunch,, and the classic excuse,,,,, our store has neither ever carried this product; OR, this product line had just been discontinued. I believe its an un-American conspiracy to deny my rights to forever more purchase the usual yarn. For the one so busily crocheting blankets for all her friends this could very well eliminate a blockage for all of her unselfish activities.
So, come morning I’ll again be informed if I’ve still the happy home she’s insisted I’ve dwelled in all these years.
Fresh water, ground corn and alfalfa cubes, milk and oatmeal with raisins and chocolate chips cookie snacks set out we’ll see by morning’s light if I’ve either been naughty or nice this last year.

12-23-2010 need 98 4x4 info

Finding out Greene’s 4x4 drive’s failing to work yesterday, I tried researching same topic on I-net. No GM manufacturer assistance what so ever. Manage to down load some 48 pages shade tree mechanic information enlightenment. Reading the whole pice I’ve got some good sound leads to look in to. Meanwhile, wanting to make a handy take on the job manual, printer refuses to do anything except make me out the idiot I have never denied I am.
Darn it, it seems I may purchase a new printer cheaper than replacing the ink cartridges in the original piece of junk I had tried to re-ink. Plus those refilled ink cartridges want to leak all over everything. Can you imagine the bumbling mess this I‘d make had Herr clink let me work upon it on her bedspread. I simply cant win for loosing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was a beauty of a day to move out in. I enjoyed it all day. With the flat rake setting in the drive the JBC and myself loaded eighteen six foot bale onto that wagons 12’ bed. (harty har har) Greene could not even start the loaded wagon’s load. Balderdash. “It’s been my favorite Winter tractor to me, the upgraded WD45. Over powered, overtired, over loaded, that mechanical wonder beast has either saved or gotten my butt out of more unimaginable trouble around here for it’s physical size. Today it simultaneously pulled Greene and the over loaded hay wagon up a grade, over the crest and parked it where even making a another mistake the Greene couldn’t but roll it all, truck and wagon on down the road.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To late, to tired to fight this frigging printer I’m taking a few moments to see if some old fashioned rear view mirrors are available anywhere?

Some truths don’t hurt

“Fern, there's been something wrong with you ever since we met on those old message boards. Of course, it had nothing to do with your health. Ha!” LMAO
If I may say so there’s been something wrong with me with every girl I have ever net. My Frieda was the only woman to see through me and had set her cap for me even before there were words of greetings between us.
It was upon the close our first date I found her beauty wasfar more than ski deep, she was well put together mentally and emotionally, she was encouragement and supportive during our very first date. as difficult as it maybe to write, it was upon that very same day I had outgrown my blessed mother.
When I had delivered her into her parents home, upon my leaving, driving away I felt the meaning of loneliness for the first time in my life. Over the next few hours I knew for whom I had been born and I had to have her by my side for all the days of our afternoons to live on. That date was the beginning of one of a most sun filled of a great many each in its very own way.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Awoke late again this habit under late belated winter sun rises. This hasn’t been me all my life. Not that it matters this late sun rising mornings having waited my hour its time I slip into the kitchen and fill old dobbin’s feed bag with oats and put it on. (chomp chomp chomp) And that bag is water proof for slipping some the kittens chocolate milk from it as well. Grain and hay put away it’ll time my heading out for Doc’s Office.
Been thinking if Doc’s about to time my end he could have told Herr Clink my limited hours. Especially after Frieda had taken a message yesterday some one had said something about not liking my looks? With that time line I could chance wearing my remaining time out find a good observation corner at the mall to watch the Winter’s scanty clad girls pass by until I my remaining good eye should needed a prescription lense. Regardless these thoughts I had be betteren going to Doc’s office for my limits news.
My stepping up to the window to sign in one of the four girls wanted to know I was there for this time. I explained one of hadn’t liked my looks and doc wanted to see me. Right away that phone call was blamed upon the one girl not working this day. After waiting Doc finally makes an appearance. When he gets to me he wound he had read my blood report I little off center (note: the word wrong hasn’t been used). Okay, so far so good, here I brought up impressions of my looks, and asked him for a second opinion. The office manager appearing to be shaking could not turn away from the windos the far side of the office to even look at me nor add her $.02 opinion. Sheesh, darn near a whole morning shot over a miss red vampires report…. As long as I was in Otisville I marketed for a Christmas Day sliced ham and some the tantalizers what go with it. From there I slipped up the road again for the junk yard. Who knows I might have gotten lucky. I did find a sprocket of sorts, something close to fill my want’s until something better should come along. Proud I was driving home I had gotten everything I had set out to get with maybe the exception some yarn Frieda had asked for. I’ll have you know I remembered her yarn right after the very last turn my headed home. And when I had come Frieda asked if I had asked about chimes in my ears? Uh, I forgotten the caroline also.
Home I inadvertently had gotten a nap in. Had also brought the Cushman out and hauled more wood into house. We’re alset if were to be hit hit with some freezing rain. Getting onto sundown a-whip decides to come alive. This pizzes me off my liking to be in before dark He tells me he’s stuck, also needing a hay bale via my delivery. Just frapping ducky I’ve got my chores to do and the sun’s already setting beyond the tree lines. Okay, an already broken hay ring on the wagon there’s room enough for one, at most two hay bales. I go to do my part. My finally coming home an hour for supper’s start. Now it’s looking like a simple a delayed updated interest still alive my wanting t show mike my quadracycle acquisitioned collected parts continue progress progressing since the last time I had seen him I hadn’t wanted him to think I might have lost interest to my off the wall project! .
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Being time it should have all been packed in and locked up I took thr Cushman what needed putting away anyway all my new found quadra-bike parte up the road to Mike’s garage’ He was delighted to see them sharing in my excitement in my finds and acquisitions. Just a couple more parts and we may put the jack shaft together. The jackshaft is the most important driveline component. The rest of the bike is durned near built around that jack shaft may better caller a drive shaft. While we hadn’t made any physical advancement on the machine I was still making some blind head way towards the day it all weld together in one massive peace.
It was a full day even having to do some getting it ll done in over time.

First day winter

Some day this was. I’ve thought I had started earlier something to write about? Well seeing as I don’t remember I’m not going to worry about either resurrecting it a simply wreaking havoc over it.
Regardless the preceding absentmindedness, I had a great day. I picked up the freight in Clio; from TSC the cats’ll eat for another month, I picked up those in and ordered one more needed quadrabike part, and looked for a wrench they didn’t have. I want a six point box end wrench, nobody knows what I’m either talking about or use the easiest of all excuses “Item’s unknown, “Item’s unavailable.” This summed up my morning.
The afternoon was just as full. I stretched the WD45’s use on a jumper wire to move a hay wagon a couple times. Once to take a broken hay ring away and again to bring two repaired hay rings back. Running out of parking spaces the hay wagon was reloaded again with another broken hay ring. Then it was the really big plus yanking the obstinate Greene truck out of the snow bank it had insisted upon getting me and itself into. The WD45, a clevis, the bungee tow strap Tom’s surprise coming up helped me snatch the Greene truck right up and out of where hadn’t have aught to done me so nasty.
My only short coming for the day the Cushman and I didn’t her load of wood brought into the house before we’re slathered with a predicted freezing rain. Oh well, such is the way the weather burdens us. At least if the wood gathering’s a day or so late, I’ve got it somewhat cover against the weather.
Getting on to supper time I’m first making myself comfortable.
All comfy ready for supper and bed I’m comfortably all set for a cozy long Winter’s nap…. Lets see, My going to meeting farmyard tux is in the drier. The general Shorthorn country tux is likely waiting its turn in the washing machine. Lastly. I’ve a command appearance before DOC come morning, Get good news Frieda’s supposedly all right and now something could be wrong with me. Be it good news.

The Bells are Ringing

They’ve been coming and going for about that last week. As long as I’ve got to see Doc for my semi-biannual I’ll have to ask him if another antibiotic will help me get them in tune the same as last time. The same medication I’m talking about took care of an ear infection at that time. Wont hoit to ask?
Woke up late after a good sleep, put wood on the fire twice keeping the house toasty warm even for the un-stirring meese should dare be some.
Gotta start WD45 to pull flat rake hay wagon out of a snow drift. Need use it to transport one or two hay rings down to shop for welding repairs. Must also stop by auto parts store for a new ignition resister, as last time when I put a jumper on it for easier starting, The engine had quit each time I had removed that jumper. I’m not going to a happy camper exchanging that cold tractor part. (brrrr) I’m already shivering just thinking about it.
Here’s to my winding down Fall knowing all the leaves I hadn’t raked off my yard are safely helping the new snows keep my yard warm all down under. Well for now anyway.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Spent the entire morning at Doc’s to find out I was fine as far as my fine goes. Frieda’s cholesterol’s a little high. She’s on another medication. Doc wrote hers out, all my renewals were called in. Both of us having fasted I was hungry our going to the corner dinner. While we waited enjoying our coffees, my hand shaking rather vigorously, Frieda suggested, “Why don’t you hold your cup with both hands?“ I answered, “I don’t think I dare. If both hands aren’t synchronized one or both of us may be wearing it?” While Frieda laughed at my discomfort, our food came. Of all things we’d ordered a couple high cholesterol omelets. One of the other of us starts dieting tomorrow.
Knowing the meds wouldn’t be ready for pick-up I chance stopped local junkyard a mile up the road in hopes my seeing my needed quadracycle’s parts sticking out of the snow. Driving, riding, walking, around the scrap yard of all things I found were boo-co bunches of useless fifteen speed parts bikes, and me one near perfectly new ten or fifteen speed bicycle. Oh crud! I took it anyway not for the parts but more liking the field spotted conveyance for those occasions I’m forgotten left to my devices usually upon shanks-mare alternate transportation. Unbelievably all the cables are in good working order. Only one slightly little fault. The front wheel has a wobble in it. That’s okay when I ride a bike any more I’ve been known to wobble all over the roads anyway. As it is these tracks will look perfectly my having passed by this’r’that way.
Bike cheap at half the standard roadside yard sale loaded, we finally picked up our medications. The other end of the single traffic light village I stopped by the auto parts store for ignition resister for the WD45. Bummer, the last one roughly lasted 25years.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Home’s return I had to be off and running for supplements and empty feed wagon. So merely passable the other the 4020JD passing through one of the yards was the only way it’d could come out.
Machines set, tractors running everywhere all them inner dependent making my late day grind as pleasantly possible I could manage. If it wasn’t in the way it was needed to either grind or scrape away a snowdrift do’s I could put the grind’s machinery away. While the JCB required moving it fed the ladies and readied another bale for tomorrow’s feeding while it were on the go anyway, The Ford took the last snow drift in my way away. Lastly I didn’t even have to deliver this last wagon feed load. Bro’ came and got it. He ever gets it right given me a couple days I wouldn’t be the most responsible individual around here anymore, Might say that could take all the shortcomings off my shoulders.
As it has turned out I finished my part of this work day having seen colorful sunset and a spectacular moon rise. This evenings winter air clear and refreshing.

counting lucky stars

Going to show some of my ages lucky keeping busy incidentals. For instance before breakfast I take seven assorted medications. For a change of pace I take two pills shortly after lunch. Then to keep up the boring schedule I take some nine more an hour before supping. All of them come out of some lucky fifteen assorted bottles. Now I’m imagining if I had but a few more to go along with checkerboard design I could invent some sort of solitary game imagining and arranging there varied uses. Perhaps some thing like this lining up two apposing sides arranging the army’s (say) as to their impotence. I’ve got pills delivering messages to keep the heart in the campaign. There are pills held in reserve for rushing instant messages into the fight current campaign. There are two different pills having to do with the eyes likely having something to do with recon-cense. They’s operating engineers to keep smother the ways into battles for life. Motor pools rushing to and fro supplying oxygenated corporals loaded down with oxygen. A motor pool responsibilities keeping the wheels of motion moving without complaint. There are infantry platoons, artillery, Field hospitals, aid stations. There I think I’ve got a lot of the players but short on battle plans and rules of engagement. I think I’ll move onto score cards for a while I sort out the troop placements. Maybe later. Just maybe later.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Slept sound all night. Waking a about 4:30 AM the woodfire more than low, nearer out, I bare footed it out in the snow to empty the cold ashes from the last clean out into a fresh plastic bucket. Wasn’t bad out side for no wind save for the draft up and coming under my nightshirt. The ashes shoveled out it was only moments and I had a brand new roaring blaze going aided with a large cup crankcase oil for an accelerant. It weren’t but for a few minutes nobody else would know the fire had gone out. Everything was copasetic.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
First thing out of the drive I was headed for the JD 4029 what had lost a tie rod end (or rather parted). I was asked to put it back together.
Thinking I had the tools enough already in the truck I added a hi-lo jack to the mix. Jacking the tractor up on frozen ground dealing with frozen ruts the jack slipped. The jack needing re-location moving I opted to find another one near like it plus a some 4x4 blocking and a 2x4 pry. My repair coming along rather well here come the heros. Whoopee, kibitzers I didn’t need. The parted end fully taken apart I saw no way to easily thread the open ends back together gain. With a chisel and a big freaking hammer I opened both tie rod parts all I dared (more like all I could). Putting the late comers to work I had one individual using a 4’ 2x4 for leverage to turn the wheel inward while I held the open ends. My holding the ends Tom manning the wooden pry he did his best easing the strain of one part in the other back together again, For bother I handed him a hammer to tap on the tie rod’s side for vibration to seat the threads together as I hogged down with the same nut and bolt supposedly originally holding the parts together in such a much better fashion than originally. (I’m hopping.)
Hay rings broken here I set about making replacement parts for the missing pieces requiring a replacement ring’s fix. There was some balking upon the welder’s part but as I explained the two broken rings situation, I won. The ring’s fixed and I’ll press it into use to more so the first two rings may be fixed again.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While I may be a week late I’ve started my all night fast all over again for tomorrows try for the missed biannual full bodied check up. Doc may not know it yet until I take up residency in his waiting room.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
OMG!!! While I was sitting here writing this I’ve just received the saddest phone call I have had in a long time. I good friend of mine Has choked to death just a day or two ago. Only 47yrs old and automobile mechanic of the first order. A younger brother had preceded him about six years ago to cancer. This young man is survived by his father, one brother and sister. Talk is a party planned along about New Years when they’ve gotten his ashes back.
It’s “Rainbows: this evening for any families loss.. It is so hard to fathom this loss coming from such a viable family. I have set at their tables having a many cup of coffee and only the occasional beer.

Fun or relief (2nd entry)

Yesterdays events were loaded with relief’s. Everything’s normal for Frieda’s age and all her per-standard aging processes considering her varied medications making her (or is that comfortable). Worst part about all the eye opening dissuasions over Frieda’s health issues sounded more like mine than hers, If that were to make any sense? Sheesh, when all was said and we were done it all sounded as if she were in better health than myself. Our walking out I should have been an invalid with four candy strippers in short skirts wheeling me along and tending to my every need….. Well, I can fantasize might I not.
Sue having driven us was a diabetic mess by the time we returned to the lobby. She needed food. Fortunately the facilities lobby was a celebration scene complete with a help yourself luncheon table. Seeing the food disappearing fast and as we were just in time I grabbed a couple plates and commenced to load them down, all the time Frieda’s worrying about grabbing coffee. Unobservant in her manner the food had to be gotten first if it were to be gotten at all, as we were near to being to late. The way I seen it the coffee would last. Then when I did get to the coffee it just wasn’t as good as it used to be. Cigarettes had gone with coffee for so many my years, the Columbian brew no longer tastes good without the nicotine additive. Gosh now I see myself needing to stock up on some those tinned Danish butter cookies, Scottish short breads, English crumpets, Irish short breads. Regardless whether I‘ve or I‘ve not got my baking’s mixed up I think I‘ve expressed the general idea. Oh, Lawd, have I turned English? Stiff upper lip and all that bloody rot?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In all out travels yesterday we finally had our minds eased. Frieda's unbalanced blood test signs are all normal for her age, her ostieo-aurthertiteass, blood tests including her unbalance red and white blood cell counts.
Bottom line, no signs of cancer in any forms.
Whew. Everything's getting back to normal, my selective hearing , the whole works, and her inherent crab azzing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Son of a dumb ice bound old duck!
Greene is up and running. It was the cussed 4yr old battery. Had enough juice to light the lights, ti tickle the starter solenoid, near flat after that. Slipped the 1yr old Ugly battery in. while it didn’t exactly start easy after sitting 5days it started. Gonna get it gassed up now reduce chances condensation accumulation in fuel tank. And boss lady wants Ice-cream, and milk re-supplied.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The goofiest things are going on with the old Cushman truckster I’ve just recently over hauled the engine, for those who don’t know. This cold weather hasn’t phased it at all as far as starting is concerned. It Starts. I mean it starts. Before over haul there were times no amount of priming would it cough, sputter or even try to run. Now with the renewed engine it gives me some miner trouble running this cold weather. Must be right on the ball balancing the choke and throttle for optimum running. Neatest cleanest grandest surprise is this machines new will to take that hill out of the Butter Nut Creek bottom as if that deep ravine weren’t even there. Such zip, such fortitude, such power. These roads are presently a bit iffy as to their safe running over what with this renewed engine wants to go. I’m guessing the goofy machine if I weren’t to my holding it back could very well clock over 50mph this coming Summer. These speeds if I’m not care full could jeopardized its slow moving unlicensed vehicle standing.
Inter net problems this entry’s a day late. So, I hope I’ve been barred with.
11-17-2010 Fun or relief (1st entry)
Yesterdays events were loaded with relief’s. Everything’s normal for Frieda’s age and all her per-standard aging processes considering her varied medications making her (or is that comfortable). Worst part about all the eye opening dissuasions over Frieda’s health issues sounded more like mine than hers, If that were to make any sense? Sheesh, when all was said and we were done it all sounded as if she were in better health than myself. Our walking out I should have been an invalid with four candy strippers in short skirts wheeling me along and tending to my every need….. Well, I can fantasize might I not.
Sue having driven us was a diabetic mess by the time we returned to the lobby. She needed food. Fortunately the facilities lobby was a celebration scene complete with a help yourself luncheon table. Seeing the food disappearing fast and as we were just in time I grabbed a couple plates and commenced to load them down, all the time Frieda’s worrying about grabbing coffee. Unobservant in her manner the food had to be gotten first if it were to be gotten at all, as we were near to being to late. The way I seen it the coffee would last. Then when I did get to the coffee it just wasn’t as good as it used to be. Cigarettes had gone with coffee for so many my years, the Columbian brew no longer tastes good without the nicotine additive. Gosh now I see myself needing to stock up on some those tinned Danish butter cookies, Scottish short breads, English crumpets, Irish short breads. Regardless whether I‘ve or I‘ve not got my baking’s mixed up I think I‘ve expressed the general idea. Oh, Lawd, have I turned English? Stiff upper lip and all that bloody rot?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In all out travels yesterday we finally had our minds eased. Frieda's unbalanced blood test signs are all normal for her age, her ostieo-aurthertiteass, blood tests including her unbalance red and white blood cell counts.
Bottom line, no signs of cancer in any forms.
Whew. Everything's getting back to normal, my selective hearing , the whole works, and her inherent crab azzing.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The goofiest things are going on with the old Cushman truckster I’ve just recently over hauled the engine, for those who don’t know. This cold weather hasn’t phased it at all as far as starting is concerned. It Starts. I mean it starts. Before over haul there were times no amount of priming would it cough, sputter or even try to run. Now with the renewed engine it gives me some miner trouble running this cold weather. Must be right on the ball balancing the choke and throttle for optimum running. Neatest cleanest grandest surprise is this machines new will to take that hill out of the Butter Nut Creek bottom as if that deep ravine weren’t even there. Such zip, such fortitude, such power. These roads are presently a bit iffy as to their safe running over what with this renewed engine wants to go. I’m guessing the goofy machine if I weren’t to my holding it back could very well clock over 50mph this coming Summer. These speeds if I’m not care full could jeopardized its slow moving unlicensed vehicle standing.
Inter net problems this entry’s a day late. So, I hope I’ve been barred with.
Bestess News
Friend Susan transported us around today our taking off before 8:30 AM making and keeping all our appointment through getting home by 3: PM. first appointment running a good hour over time, I cell out the second appointment…uh….err….stretching…..fibbing a wee pit it was still worked in our getting there an hour late. The roads were no help The way I’s and sliding, arse feeling one minute maybe a 35 mph safe, hitting rutted ice nice, or even black ice making for some delightful side slipping of drifting sensations. Single digit temperatures do nothing in assisting road gripping melt in my book. What w need is some old fashioned power house cinders or iron and coal over burden broad cast on our heavily traffic fancy roads.
Backing the taxi up during our visit the Genesis Hurley Cancer Institute, paper work turned, shown, to specious cubical, preliminaries taken care of, A few moments wait and we (Frieda0 was seen by a very handsome young doctor. His asking some interesting questions it weren’t long before he announced she was in good health. Her red and white corpuscle counts were within the guidelines accompanying the medications she was on. Leaving us alone for a few more minutes another very distinguished doctor walked in, Frieda even telling him so (that’s my girl). He ate it up and treat Frieda like a lady of stature. He ask more the same question the younger doctor had plus a couple or more his own. He them summed up Frieda’s breathing problems, which included some the effects her cpak’s involvement in her breathing problem.
My sitting by the side listening these physicians pretty well had Fried’s life, habits, and living right down to a “T.” The treatment or consultation over with the physicians they treated us to lunch. I’ve got ot tell Doc George about this turn of events. (hehehehe) Oh boy! Have ever got him!
Two extremely happy campers come this day.
phooey!
Greene still remains silent to no make start.
Have arranged transportation for two over lapping appointments tomorrow. Going to be close keeping them with the roads so treacherously unsafe slippery. One’s country, second one city maybe three blocks off E-way. I think I can handle it.
Inventorying my Greene’s getting me behinder, I’ve plenty to do tomorrow. All the a-hole troops leave it all up to me to make all their conveniences easy. Need replace grain wagon cover. Need to haul six bales hay. Need to replace a broken hay ring with one what doesn’t exist.. Shop remains tied up the Brother’s lagging JD project. He’s setting the world on fire with this pet project again. Meanwhile my two day need continues to set out in the cold leaving me without transportation again. Somehow, I evidently miss seeing the big picture. (disgusted) And I’m supposed to do all the afore mentioned chores without wheels! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We’re staying home, staying in, I’m eating my appetites full filling the belly out. I’ve caught up on my meds real and imagined (home remedies) Desperate to get out of yard even before all the commands had come in, Mikes heated garage is full. Checking with Terry he’s cleaning out his shed for Greene. I need to supply a torpedo heater and fuel. May yet make some headway some where doing something on what I need? I could have even used Dumpy truck had situation been hard pressed but some literally dummy’s see no importance in brakes what work on my vehicles.
Thoroughly pissed right now, ths very evening, I hope your day was better than mine.
12-14-2010 Double nickel this AM moment
6:30 AM
Morning temps -5* wind-chill at 5* actual factual. Winds quiet for the moment’s a big help. Herr Clink trying to organize this morning’s activities, I’ve The fire breathing dragon in the dungeon given needed a kick In the ass encouragement to get started this morning’s come to life. I’ve started the laundry in an adjacent cell down there to give that dragon even a simple measure of company. All this to help keep the water arteries open. Doing her best to get under foot she starts carting trash around the house as if it were some priceless treasure then complained when I asked her to take care of the cats sand box. I’ve tied the packaged trash bags up in pretty brown sisal twine nicely contrasting with the greens and whites bag gift wrappings that’ll eventually thrill the landfill. In slippers I trumped down the snow drifted over the deck and steps just a knowing where I had left one remaining tin ash bucket left. The stove ash cleared still warming the house from an exalted position a top the wood stove to continue radiating almost well spent warmth, I’ve butt a few more things to going outdoors’s.
Still needing to redress, to get my ash and trash out of the house, I’ve got to truck my behind down to the barn and back twice likely via shanks-mare wit my kind of snow shovel, power cord, and battery booster, in hopes all this preparatory effort will assist the Greene’s start for me this morning.
I’ll be back
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
7:50 AM
Gone down to the barn. Cats delighted to see me. I plugged the JCB in, then commenced to drag the battery booster through the drifts up along side Greene. Three tries Greene’s sputtering’s are getting longer yet the mechanical beast has continued refusal to start. Looking for a gallon of alcohol, I must have left it in the shop for refilling measured amounts the stuff into easier to handle little bottles. Grand. That’s a big help my alcohol there me here. Undaunted I searched our medicine cabinet. Found a whole bottle rubbing alcohol sacrificing half of it for the cause. Everything taken care of as far as I may go things should start to happen in about a couple hours. Meanwhile even the little Ford and hooking on the back blade an also wait until I’ve had a couple hours to warm up enough to go….again. Excuse now me while I thaw.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1:00 PM
At two hour intervals I have tried starting Greene without success. Now I suspect the starter’s froze. Oh well! Seeing’s as how I ain’t gonna make it into Doc’s office again today. Lets eat!!!!!! And so in as much as I’m we’re not going anywhere I been trying to promote a little spiritual loven, and had absolutely not gotten anywhere. (sigh) But then caught up as a shut in I can’t be blamed for trying.
Shucks, It’d be a darn good time to go fishing if it were ice enough and Greene were a willing runner.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
2:00 AM the 15th
Wakey wakey, Up to haul water and throw a couple more logs on the fire.
Thinking I’ve got to bring I some more slabbed ash firewood.. It burns like cardboard only being of more substance lasts longer to dry some of the damp sorry firewood I cut up last week. The to old firewood having absorbed some dampness make for a longer last although not as hot a fire as the thoroughly dried wood. Our choices of woods to burn has worked out rather nicely the damp stuff lasting long we haven’t had to rebuild a fire this entire frigid week of Yukon weather blasting the hot fires of Hell out of us. Anybody want the 4th July back? Well, you can’t have it yet. So enjoy it as it layering it on. Like remember when you couldn’t take any more off. (big cheesy grin)

Not real sure….

......what meds I may or may not take before seeing Doc this morning?
6:00 AM
I've trimmed my rattlers down to the bare essentials. All two of them until I make it home again.
Looks like I'll be taking Frieda out fur breakfast. Thinking self, this's another operatoonity to look good in Herr Clink's eyes.
Most schools closed around here, some public offices closed, PLUS (get this) some roads closed.
What wimps, I see barely 2" snow here. I know there some small snow drifts about the out-buildings and drives. Windchill factor 5* to 15* below 0*. Some places these temps are for real. I'd say regardless the early date, Winter is here.
Frieda and I are oh so glad we haven’t an East wind.
Michigan’s west Lake Michigan side and thumb areas under (Great Lakes effect) blizzard warnings.
When we return home I need to figure out how to thaw out outbuildings locks.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
9:00 AM
Well, as it turned out, Greene refused to start. I never got out of the driveway. Appointment with Doc is postponed until tomorrow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
11:00 AM
Thinking about how I was going to feed the ladies earlier than usual meant starting the JCB must be earlier than later. The JCB which may be very stubborn these sort of days it’d be better I start at starting it earlier than at to sorrily a much to later.
Thought about heating the barn door key with the same lighter I used to us to lite my cigs. So cussed windy couldn't keep the flame lit long enough to burn my fingers let alone warm a key.
Next plan was to break into barn else where liking a door I had just nailed better shut this very last month. Now, wouldn't ya know, I had locked all my tools inside the same barn to boot.
No hammer in truck as I normally keep one, I had to borrow the woodstove poker to try and get in. It worked. JCB's now plugged in. Will give it a go in about an hour and a-half. One good thing out all this, I had parked that skid-steer close enough the barn with in the battery booster's reach. Looked like the day'd continue to be a fun one.
Sure as it seemed I wasn’t going anywhere Frieda made up a batch her corny cakes with snausage. I’m also back to sipping my vinegar/cherry juiced elixir. All’s good around the woodstove.
11:30 AM
Weather out here is something else. Three inches snow on the level I've got drifts over my knees in places, specially around the skid-steer.
Ah the fun. I love it. ;-)
Oh yeah, seeing as I hadn't made into the barn yesterday to feed the cats, they were ecstatic seeing me today.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1:00 PM
The JCB started without a boost. I ruined a cap not knowing if I may save it for next summers use or not. To soon to tell. Found myself up against a second one. To move it, I poked it and abandoned it in driveway until we experience any sort of a heat wave. Even 20* above 0* it’d be nice.
2:15 PM
Back in house shoes pried off. Needed Frieda’s assistance pealing my socks off. Then she wont let me park them on her belly as I did fifty some yrs ago. Does this mean he honeymoon is over?
2:30 PM can’t find a single thing to motivate my domestic usefulness around here? Maybe fet dry enough to don warm woolen socks. I sure could use a pr of fuzz-wuzzy slippers. Not sure I wrote him if the big guy up at the North Pole could make me a pair in time?
And, sipping my VC concoction alone with cold what was hot earlier hot tea.
7:30 PM
Bro’ giving me a ride I’ve been down the road to assist him with his chores. Removed a live trapped raccoon we’ve been after for close to the last couple months. A prime pelt this bore, it ought to bring a good price. I’ve had my supper, finishing dessert and my Glucosamine intake before assuming my all night fast all over again.
In addition Frieda’s made a phone call canceling any home delivery for tomorrow. I can’t argue with Greene getting it started, mount the plow on tractor, clear driveway, clean of ramp, and keep Doc appointment all at the same time. Then when I’m done with these needs, fuel Greene, and checkout scrap yard for bike part as long as I’m within that same mile.
Damn, I’ve got some serious snow drifts to negotiate come morning bringing the battery booster up from the barn for my determined Greene truck‘s start. Night.
Promises, promises,
We’re 'sposed to get anywhere from 5">12"snow. All that we've gotten up here thus far we'd have to sweep it together to measure it. Everthing's in good shape and ready for whatever’s dished up. We've jugs of water saved for washing, coffee and drinking (if you ain't dirty), juices galore, canned goods of every description including tomatoes and fruits, dehydrated raisins, tinned and frozen meats, breads in the freezer, beans, cheeses, eggs, flour, sugar, noodles, honey, maple syrup, spices galore, canned milk, plus oodles and oodles of things forgotten. We can cook on the parlor wood stove (camp coffee pot's sitting ready right behind it) or the kitchen gas range. The foyers staked to the ceiling with wood plus a half a rick stake what could substitute for a room divider in the living area. This was last night.
This what I looked out to this morning.
Photobucket
On immediate emergency supplies diesel oil, kerosene, lamp gas. And Greene needs refueling. That’s got to be updated today or tomorrow. Motor oils need checking.
We’ve a many book to read from history, fantasy, friction, motor and equipment repair manuals should we loose power and cable.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ah-hmm, as usual the 90 hp class snow-blower hasn’t been repaired again this year. But the back blade for the little Ford’s attachment stands ready to mount (must have some fun in the snow). I’ve three tux’s, two pair rubber chore boots, four or five stocking caps, two dozen pair gloves, AND clean underwear consisting of socks and shorts just in case emergency hostile ER medical visits are required.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
By 3:00 PM this afternoon, in my kindness I had furnished Her Mostess a seat in front of the wood stove to keep the firebox loaded. When she needed a breather I’ve let her put together a chicken casserole a-baking on the woodstove. While Her Mostess has been busy keeping the woodstove fed I’ve also allowed her time to make some baking powder biscuits, to go with the chicken and later’s shortcake. Keeping her busy I’ve had three different drinks I been sipping, sampling, and swilling keeping me company most the day while I cruised the E-net for more old fashioned home remedies. Holy Smokums, there sure is a load of info out there.
Might say I’m rather glad this was taken care of day before yesterday.
Photobucket
The good looking lady far left, Grace, stayed with my from beginning to end throughout the whole ordeals thawing out process.
As for outdoors goings-on’s when I did my chores inventorying between 2”&3” measurable snow, Plus I’ve no idea the depth some very horizontal snow with a bite to it. Ah yes, life is good.
Photobucket
Frieda commented on observing my continued new found women acquaintances, “As you keep getting older, Old Man, all the women you meet keep getting younger.” I told her, “I certainly hope so. I’d hate to see them all born old ladies!”
A pain’s free quest
Heard of an old home remedy’s help with or for enduring or something of a cure? My research has already intrigued me, my just hearing about it. Here it is…..
Seems a much younger man I’ve just made an acutance(?) a couple times, He spoke of a by gone neighbor. It seems there was this older gentleman who had enjoyed his tractor and the hours he had spent upon it Spring plowing his neighbors garden plots until is hands had become so gnarled, bent, crooked, and pained. His wife regimented campaigned to help rid her husband his discomfort. So, it was she hade him down one teaspoon apple cider vinegar with a couple tablespoons grape juice in a glass of water the rest of his life. When he died some years later at the age of 86 yrs, he was supposed to have been pain free.
With this information I consulted with Doc and my Pharmacist. Doc had said something about the acidic acid in the vinegar was an anti-inflammatory perhaps of some help in relieving pain. Checking with the Pharmacist he had said the same thing. He further went on to say he found no benefit from the grape juice other than it being a great source of iron.
Taking my Quest to the internet, OMG, did I ever find a wealth of information to wit I found acceptable adults may use un-pasteurized apple cider vinegar. What I have been able to ascertain the correct mixture and usage follows: one teaspoon un-pasteurized apple cider vinegar, one glass water. Mix them together and sip at it all day. Near as I can figure the grape juice acts as a more tasteful ingredient to help the original recipe go down easier.
Only pasteurized apple cider vinegar is safe for children. Also being pasteurized its properties effectiveness may be less than expected for home remedy use.
Next! Damned food and drug administration people have likely made (labeled) genuine (un-pasteurized) apple vinegar illegal and dangerous to my health. This sadly puts a monkey wrench in my research. It could well take me over a year to make a batch of the what I might presume in now an illegal substance.
GD, not even started, I’m beginning to feel like a pot smoker being denied my choice of pain relief.
An I net check for cider mills I learn of one some 12 miles WSW of us. We took a ride to find me a gallon of un-pasteurized apple cider. We found sour cherry juice for Frieda’s bouts with gout. And a bag of donuts I tried hiding from Her Mostess for myself. Having a lovely time finding our purchases along with learning they’ll custom grind and crush for me ten gallons Delicious apples (un-pasteurized) I’m going to be back come next fall. Frieda wants me to make her some bubbly apple wine. Now if I could manage to get three five gallon pails blueberries for back home, I could promote another string of good time evening’s. I like it also. This also means I’d better be washing bottles and bottling some twelve gallons grape wine. I’ve then will have five or six five gallon water bottles cleaned and ready to go.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Mid afternoon break. To get here I had to run a pair hotter spark plugs. Finally started acting as it’ll keep itself going thus I unloaded the Truckster parked again the deck. Seemed like only moments to unload once all was going as it should. Coming to lay Truckster’s sparkplugs upon the wood stove, I had asked Frieda if she’d find me a pound of triple “FG” and a shoelace. Was a good thing the machine took running again in good time, Frieda having chose to ignore me. The buggy emptied into house I declared coffee time. Sitting down I was supposedly wetter than a twosome showered lover. I be back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My wanting to finish my wood gathering this day, the new sparkplugs installed, I-carrumba, the Cushman started immediately and was raring to go. What a difference a pair of hotter sparkplugs made. The machine leaped forward with an energy I had never known it to have ever mustered. So strong, acceleration so quick, so positive, wanting know if this were real or a fluke I took it out on the road running it a half mile west. OMG! What acceleration, I’d judge I was doing 45 mph before I had passed out from in front of the farm. OMG! I hit a couple potholes hard bouncing the front end clear of the road. As quickly as the machine had gain its limited speed today it was just as quickly about to go out of total control. My hands were full, hold the wheel, decelerate, keep it on the road. Turning around I drove a darn sight slower than I had left.
The last of the firewood loaded and toted in I wasn’t through just yet. A forecast 5” to a 12” snow supposedly on the way I took some time to tidy up Greene loading the non-necessities onto the Truckster. Putting trash in its place, returnable bottles in theirs, odds and ends kindling saved, a piece of tarp folded up for use another day, chains dry bucketed and towed inside Greene I finally got around to put the Cushman away, and thankfully I hadn’t had to bad a day. A half hour day light left It was my time to come home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oddly, while I was typing this in the last fading twilight of the evening’s beginning Frieda and I listened to the roll and clap of thunder. Maybe we may just get some snow. That’s alright! I’m ready.

Almost caught up

I need to make a couple /three appearances around/about some boards for all Frieda’s heart warming Anniversary Happy Wishes. So busy around here we didn’t even get away from here for what we usually like to do, an Anniversary breakfast.
Well, the snows may come now if they’ve a Mother Nature’s mind set to do so. I have closely managed to cut and/or split all the wood that had been in my way of getting to the drier cured firewood’s. The rest of the windfalls may have my Winter’s attention. Only before then there’s a truckster load down in the barn to bring up and bring in plus another still un-piled on the ground.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
For my after hours quadracycle kick I need to find another junked ten speed bicycle for a crank sprocket. Need to put some sandpaper in my pocket for pre-preparatory cleaning the jack shaft rod. I found my bike engine. I’ve been near stepping over it almost on it every time I enter the shop’s service door. There it has just been uselessly sitting less than three yards from that entry for the last eleven years.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Damn it. My neck continues sore. I don’t know what to make of it? Becoming hader and harder to look around (turn my head). I started out five/six days ago with cold packs twice a day, morning and evening. Not seeming to work I switched to heat packs (heating pad) last couple nights. Now back to the cold pack. Nothings working. Even the Tylenol taking is working/wearing thin. I’m about to drop five valiums in three jiggers of Jamaican Rum and down it. I’m sure it be no cure. But I’d no longer hoot care!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Made an opps. Frieda isn’t knitting her blankets, she’s crocheting them.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Be damned if the old nag hadn’t kept it up long enough to bagger me right in to DOC’s office for hearing relief. Old Woman, bah!. Some x-rays. Three pictures I could even see and appreciate the problems in my neck’s bones. There they were clearly seen by both of us all manner and formations of spurs all over my vertebrae. The cartridge between a coupe of the base vertebrae was entirely gone. Next week my semi annual coming up I am to fast the beginning’s an evening before re-going to his office. He mentioned possible talk of an egg, and/or MRI. Here I go through the aging mill. Doc’s also concerned about my lack of strength. Oh fudge are we going to take another trip down the line of written possibilities I must give up?
A Hell of a busy day I’ve no mind to set the rest of it down.
Meany while, I’ve got to find a comfortable position for finding some sleep.

Morning after

Contrary to my written plans for the evening’s last closure. We stayed home. Everything I did for my bride was acceptable until I got to the requested foot massage, then I were the same o, same o. Frieda laughed her ass off. Got to repeat it….the pizza, cherry wine, and the hot fudge sundae couldn’t have been enjoyed any more another toothless old couple.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh Lawd. Come 4:00 AM waking up to a couple responsibilities, hauling water, and stoking the fire, my neck was in dreadful pain. To even rise I had to hold my head erect just so with both hands to stave of the severest discomforts. Wasn’t as easy as the usual easily a free hand to push the body off the reclined position. Lawd, once I was up, the water haul was first thing. The fire I let go, the winds outside subsided, the house was reasonably warm. The situation was developing to make it an easy morning task to clean the ashes out of the stove. I did instead able to hold my head erect on its own, I searched out my Tylenol, and a Valium tablet, lastly locating the resident heat pad and an extension cord to plug it in.
Some four hours, three of them late I a-woke feeling some better. I didn’t have to two fistedly hold my head on my aching neck to move this time. Movements looking left and right remain as limited as yesterday. One blessing out of all this middle of these night festivities, experiencing all this unholy pain it remains I’m hurting this morning tells me I’m still alive for another wonderfully given day……….I’ve been blessed.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Down in the barn where the splitter is kept knowing where it was, it was buried. Didn’t take long to get that way just dropping whatever happens to be in my hands I want to get rid of in passing. I consolidated some tools. I consolidated some fence wire winding spools. I consolidated trash in three packaging’s and readily took them across the road to share with my neighbors Friday pick up. I had even surprised myself how easily I had uncover the splitter. The splitter tagged onto the Cushman, oil checked and gassed to go, I didn’t have enough oomph to give the starting rope a snappy pull let alone whip it all the way out. So, with the splitter in tow on the Cushman I hit the neighborhood looking for a someone either a sprier whipper
-snapper to start the cold thing for me. A quarter mile to the corner nobody home, nuts. Just short a half mile turning south I headed for the Sixguy’s farm I found all manner of help in their farm shop. One coming out whipped that rope three times and had my splitter running. The hardest part of the day taken care of after some proper BS-ing, Enough that gobbly gook, I headed for home and my wood pile. Gladly it didn’t take me long to split a third what I had already cut before lunch.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A couple more hours I had the rest of my immediately in my way cut up wood split and just sort-a lazily laying around un-pilled. So I put the wood splitter away and came back with an emptied Truckster. I heaped it as high as could without any falling off, backed it to the deck and had it all carrier inside in some thing like 20/25 minutes. Time for rattlers I made me a cup of tea I immediately neglected to even take a first sip. I was out with about as much bounce as lively in step as I could flat footedly toss a 2400 pound bull over a coral fence. Loading the Truckster as full as I could see what I was doing, the lights turned on, I parked it down in the barn. The remaining wood loosely laying on the side yard I covered with a portion of a split tarp under a couple pallets.
I’m thinking I did alright for myself today, for an old coot. Again, I’ve been surely blessed when a neighbor who’d taken the time to start my engine for me.
Latest news via the grapevine I have to grind grain tomorrow. It continues to amaze me all these ya-who’s around here who seem to think I should be a mind reader. They’ve been out of ground corn or two days. I telling it like it is hoping it takes the edge off my disappointment.
Supper scalped potatoes wit ham and mixed fresh frozen
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Our last who-rah’s this even I drove over to mike‘s to start some Quadracycle mock up assembly. Frieda joined me to give Annette a new blanket she had knit for her. I know I had a good time as Frieda did also. While I flirted with design problems I also made a mental parts list to facilitate the latest up coming design modifications.
A full day well lived, I’ve simply got to lay it down In hopes I might do it again tomorrow.

A day I’ll never forget

We be married 52 yrs 7:00PM this evening.
Would I (we) do it again. You betcha! Would we have changed anything? We talked about it; and, had we gone another way with our lives we'd have missed all we've had. It has been a terrific adventure.
Was it for love at first sight? I’d have to say it was remarkably so. For me she had been an unexplainable image in my mind a seven year quest. For her on that very day we met, her life was already taking a turn in another direction and I just happened to walk right in her way.
When I found her that the day, I didn’t know I needed he until three days later. Before that third had closed I knew I could not have really lived this life without her.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’ve got some explaining to do. When I started closing my journal with “Rainbows” I put the word in parentheses as I was quoting a very nice lady a lot of us have read, known, and revered across varied beards and forums. Take a gander downloading the following….
http://forums.kountrylife.com/search.php?sid=0ccd6bf44ee162fbc19fd63abc8051a6
Truthfully, I wish someone knowing the grand lady and her addy would contact her and tell her she’s sorely missed.
My day, I attacked that troublesome slow flowing fountain just as if I knew what I was doing! Yeah right? I literally took it apart as far as I personally dared this cold-cold day. Taking it apart any further required the total removal the fountain’s cabinet from the concrete bass for my taking the water supply line apart any further. There’s no freaking way I’m about to get into a project of this nature in this kind f weather. For lunch I took my time and enjoyed a TV movie we both enjoyed. Then celled Brother insisted I had something to do with some missing vehicle glass mounting weather strips. I assisted him his chores. As far as his missing weather strip is concerned he says he try to us some old odd pieces. Personally with some new materials on hand that’d be what I’d use. Oh well, whatever makes him happy?
At long last back home chainsaw loaded on back the Cushman I enlisted Terry’s help to start it for me. Once it were warmed up its use was a snap. I managed to cut what was on the wood hauler so I could move it away which I did parking on the other side the driveway between the Dump truck and a 4010 JD. Only ten minutes twilight left I was in for some of the night. Upon reflection the area way clear beside the house I may at last use the Truckster to move the wood splitter beside the house
More quadracycle parts loaded on Greene, after supper, Frieda’s going with over to mike’s. She’s made a blanket for Mike’s Mrs.‘s. This way Frieda may deliver it in person.
Supper will consist of a a fresh baked pizza, a bottle of Michigan cherry wine, and my request Frieda rub my feet when we return home later.
C-co-cold
Enough daylight to see I was out and at it. Three fountains frozen. Okay right turn on the road the first fountain had self thawed and working. The second fountain had ¾” ice capping the cup. Ice removed fountain had water in it. Opened trap and it also had power. Left it for awhile to check on the third fountain. Inside the trap door no apparent power . Bowels were frozen solid. Run home for long extension cord with duplex plug on the end. Had to leave trap wired open to let outside power cord. To discourage ladies getting into my Rube Goldberg I threw a tote bag on the fountain deck under the baling wired shut trap. Threw a miserable representation of a plank over some my power cord in hopes it wouldn’t be dragged away by some heavy foot old girl. Then tired to the shop and the field switch box. With a voltage checker I found a switch to be likely burned out wasn’t working. Only way to fix it was to replace it. Between the cussed cold and the determined shakes it were a good idea to cut all the main fuse box master switch before I unappetizingly fried some fingers. Brother having joined me he took to chopping the ice out of the fountain bows. Power back on heaters and heat bulbs in working order, a requisitioned hair dryer pressed into service we tried our bests to soften the over abundance of hard water. Brother finally went after hot water. Was just what we needed to thaw out the floats and the float operated valves. Was an accomplished feeling when that fountain was working and doing its thing under its own designated power. Back to the second fountain while it weren’t as frozen the second one it needed all the required treatments of the third one. Thinking I was all done rechecking the electrical part of the third fountain found the receptacle had just gone bad. Argh! It was time to break for lunch. I needed warming up and fueled up belly for myself to continue functioning this day‘s afternoon.
Back to work on the third fountain the receptacle wasn’t to difficult to replace. Ready to go, right? Wrong the second light switch in the same switch box had failed. What is this, I had already replaced the first switch in this same box this very morning. Just freaking wonderful I get to take this same electrical box apart all over again. Two primary components in an electrical circuit replaced. The fountain electrical feed fix and ready to go I got a good look at the male end of the fountain’s heating element’s power cord. Looking disgusting I felt it needed replacing. So, what’s a conscientious electrician gone-a do, and yesterday I couldn’t even spell it and today I are one, laying on the ground beside that fountain fussing with some of the smallest damn screws ever conceived by another man giving this chilled to the bone and shaking old coot one Hell of a time to put this last bit of electrical hardware together. Well, determined as I was I did get it together and every thing is copasetic.
Luckily I have had a very good day. I didn’t have to do any this fixing either in a foot of snow or a blizzard. It was a good day. And oh, being absent minded I forgot to feed my ladies this morning. Such an understanding bunch of females I haven’t hear one derogatory word from a single one of them. Either that or their comments were frozen mid air and II wont hear them until we’ve a Spring thaw?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now, for some fun stuff. Smart enough not to turn Greenes’ lights on and forget to turn them off I could make it out the drive up to Mike’s for some quadracycle time. Damned if I ain’t anxious to put that thing together. Well, while I had only thought about it a couple hours ago, I did make up to Mike’s, I went through the parts I had taken with me making more than two mental lists what is missing and additional idea modifying parts. Worst part I need to re-diagram my entire bike’s drive train for I’ll be hanged if I remember my original thoughts upon this wild project. Lets see, tomorrow I need to find some bicycle forks and drag out a tw bushel sized plastic tub what loaded with hundred’s odds’n’ends miscellaneous parts. This thing’s more fun than a thousand pieced jigsaw puzzle, this one with a bonus, I get to ride it when I’ve finished it. Hmm, wondering how’ll I fashion some early 1900’s fender for it?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh balderdash! I’ve another slow running fountain to fix tomorrow this time.
Darn, I don’t remember it being this cold so early in the cold weather seasons. Must be the earth is moving away form the sun in its elliptical swing around the sun? Got to be.!
Problems
Had more than one. I had better start with my mind. Forgetting this’n’that through the course of a day bugs the H___ out of me in two cases. Of course I could do something about both if I’d just take a little extra time heading off both of them with personally written to self lists. I should open my day with what I either have to do plus want to do each (this) day. Then as the day progresses make another list be it for on the road shopping for off site needs; and/or, I should make lists for my between the current project and the customary tool and supplies gathering mode involved needs even for the usual fix. More simply to-do and what it takes to-do-it lists.
I had one puter trouble I finally curer a coupe days ago. It started a couple days even before that, at that it took me the last couple days to work out a solution. It went something like this, I got up, turned this mechanical E-net access beast on and was met with an entirely different opening page. I liked my originally E-net host. This new one literally took 80% of my E-net choices away from me. This machine or intruding new host tried running my life, doing just that for two days until I had successfully removed the intrusion of the last unasked for updates that had tried taking me over. It was liking a red big brother was trying (and succeeding telling me where I may or may not go) to tell me what topics I may or may not research. Like I wanted current headlight parts availability resources, where getting some, I was being freely denied, which really pizzed me off. The very idea!!! Anyway, involved more than that I had to get it cleaned up and thrown out.
Oh Lawd! My temple striking headaches are back or trying to cut back into my life again. Originally stemming from some recognized old tail bone injuries I’ve been sitting upon cushions with a tailbone relief (looks like wedge cut piece of cake) sites cut out of the back of my easy chair’s cushion. Currently my present cushion has become squished within an inch of its what was an original 4” spongy life’s thickness. So when it was to become daylight I had better be finding me a spare piece of foam what’s already laying somewhere within these miserably cold walls, which lead to my next problem. I come in at the end of the twilight zone.
Fence taking up all done with I need put mechanical fence winding Cushman implements parts away. I need unload no long summer fence tool and parts buckets, wire spools, replace all with traction weighting, and dig us some more hotter burning (given off more heat) firewood.
I also want to spend some early morning rolling around on the shop floor under the Haulster time when I’ve a couple hours looser, more nimble, moving it all up and down physically feasible time. (Now that was a mouth full; but, that’s the way it is, so help me the aged aging.) LOL!
All this may not be well written so it is for the moment is what it is? Maybe I’ll edit it later, maybe I wont? LOL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It was another one of them not getting much done days. Wanting to cut and/or split firewood I passed on that activity in the face of artic airs pushed 17 mph plus my way. (brrr) Dumpy required a battery charge, that on it over lunch, before it’d start. I cleaned out and weighted the truckster for getting around on snow. Yeah, I’ll see what tomorrow looks like for wood chopping. Meanwhile I checked myself into the shop. I puttered around the AzzKicker off and on for the afternoon making handles and fastening them to the robot’s lower body half. As cold as it was I stayed it another day for a better day outdoor demonstration.
My presence within the show I was drafted in assisting installing another glass in the 4020 JD’s cab. Of course I had to find all their missing parts sitting in plain sight of the engineers for the engineers. I via, I’m half blind and they tripping on their parts, they can neither see nor find them on their own. I fueled a couple petrol cans. And getting ready to put time in on my quadracycle I routed out some bicycle wheels from down in my barn and scared up some modified parts from within the shop. After supper Hopefully I’ll put in a couple hours on the quadrabike. Sure wish that ordered sprocket would get here. Could just be my luck it wont come until after New Year‘s.
I got my laundry washed and dried today. One of these day’s I’ve simply got to get the kitchen floor scrubbed and the damaged areas the floor covering replaced.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Well,, I had tried to slip up the road to mike’s and my quadracycle, It just was not going to be. Coming home, I had left Greene’s lights on. Only took a few minutes to flatten the battery. Now there’s a power cord from the house to the Greene truck hosting a busy battery charger just lazily a sitting laid back under the hood pouring its heart out into that miss treated battery. Good nite
Taking the Fifth
Nope, there has never been a need for a fifth or a reason to justify taking the fifth in the defense of an inquisition; neither a fifth for an anniversary or an adversity; but, its fun to claim such needs either way for the pure socialized laughs between these life’s entertaining exchanges other wise broadly labeled just another element in the battle of the sexes.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Chores out of the way I slipped left out of the drive to try and catch Mike. My quadracycle up in his rafters, no race car orders he said right now would be a good time to work on it. So, just as soon as my sprocket comes Mike’s shop will be where I’ll be found after-dark. Meanwhile, I might be going through my old parts inventory for those parts I’ll use putting the running gear back together again. On second thought, could be it wouldn’t be a real bad I-dear to start putting some of it back together?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It has to be the sweetheart kitty doing it. Almost every day there are more carcasses littering the driveway. Frieda’s asked me, “Ain’t nobody eating the?” I told her, “Only thing I can think of’s, when one those body’s disappears it had finally aged long enough to be tender eating?!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Assisting in the far end’s chores, making fix the same’s fence. Here’s an interesting tidbit of an observation to me. Checking fence the digital meter read 9.2 volts translated that is 9,200 volts delivered via the 10,000 volt charger inside the barn. Why I find it so interesting was during the summer last with all the live greenery to contend with, the meter was reading only 6.4 to 7.2 volts then. Now late into the Fall the foliage or vegetation dried and gone the fence wire’s more efficiently drier without any growing influences for the current to contend with.
I tinkered with the Azzkicker for a spell. Decided to do two things differently. One a stiff breeze out of the northwest delivering a flipping artic cold I skipped the field trial. Secondly I’ve decided to put handles on the robot to make it easier handling for moving it around, liking as in from place to place don’t you know. No wood to my liking to make handles I decided to wait until I returned home to see what I might have here down in the barn. And, that was that.
Time left I turned some of my attention towards the Haulster particularly clearing away the accumulation of this Cushman’s parts in the cargo box. My motive I thinks I want to remove the cargo box’s floor to more easily get to all the varied parts and components involved in the machines changes as to up dating making it once again road-worthily safe.
Contented with my day, I was home by quarter of dark.

In Crisis

Somewhere around 32* this AM. Sun’s shining looking like a great day to be alive SAM.
What the H___ I settled into the shop, at least for a little while. I put in some time on the Haulster getting nowhere trying to sort out the damaged wiring harness. After about an useless hour finding no easy solution I gave it up to work on something else.
Hey, I took a renewed interest in the AzzKicker. Looked it over, found another black two bushel tub to invert and use portions of it for pattern tracings my cutting out some blockings for making some sort of a locking the AzzKickers top and bottom halves together. The blocks cut and drilled for screws they’re ready for my attention later. Getting well onto lunch time I cut out for home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Thinking lunch and looking to my choices I had found I had used the last of my tea. While I cataloged a mental shopping list I found me some left over Chili made with beans. The whole menu was to also include baked apples, a roll or two (my choice), and apple juice for a chaser. I shouldn’t have any problem with my get up and go come morning. I also found we’d no more than a pint of milk left in a jug. Then trying to dish it all up paper plates had become a real premium find. I’d found I had a real crisis brewing. Out of Tea, short on paper plates, an nowhere near enough milk to go along with peanut butter on crackers late night snack. And I had only forgotten once what I was doing all morning. Other than perhaps my deciding to go to store, I knew I also needed a bottle Ocuvite for maintaining my one remaining eye’s good health. OMG, I’d discovered I had slacked and sunken my soul into a crisis mode.
Other than going to store, I’m planning on having stuffed peppers for supper. I wonder if chocolate ice-cream will go with hamburger, rice, pepper, and tomato sauce. Yum! Hey, I got to have something to look forward to!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dinner out of my way I put the Loftness brush chopper hydraulics back together. While it’s together it didn’t finish up in the same way as it was when I taken it apart. But what counts it’ll work again without a leak. Returning to the shop I tried putting the Azzkicker together, finding it quite difficult without the proper screws. And remembering some the differences in the manual brake cables I’d saved in the machinery shed down over the hill, I brought another one up and out into my light of day.
Still needing those groceries I decided to run over to the Crossroads so that I could buy the needed wood screws. Marketing I remembered most my list and then some. A few snackers on sale I got ma boss her’s first and mine off the next shelf down. Adding oat bread to my basket I sure enough forgot my ice-cream. Fore shame, my forgetting my ice-cream. Oh well, I’ll survive.
Going to the hardware store I managed to trade the purchased ¼” yoke of a couple days ago for an 8MM yoke today. Then I forgot the flippen wood screws. It’s a good thing I’m home and settled in for the night. Three forgetful’s making my day I’m where any more are covered by only an all-night snooze away. So, I get to go over to the Crossroads again tomorrow for my screws, chocolate ice-cream, and the darned cats demanded tuna fish. This is what I get for not conferring with the pussy cats. Argh!
Asking Her Mostess if she remembers? She does. I suggested I find her a bottle of Cold Duck I’ll leave the whole thing to her enjoyment. She countered she rather I find her some Seagram’s Fuzzy Navels. I’m, I’ll see? Lastly, one thing good had come of my busy day. I’d moved out ahead of my back aches leaving them behind. (snicker)

Friends

Have some friends. Good friends always checking on us, looking in, having trucked me hither and yond through some my difficulties. Unable to contain myself. By gum, I stopped and got on one’s case yesterday. I told her if she needs me call. And not deciding whether she does or does not makes no difference I’ll take her to be safe rather than sorry. Hopefully two more my winning arguments included: two, I wasn’t interested in our last get together my attending her wake; three, nobody but herself has had the way she’s had throwing me out of her house when the time had come, I shan‘t want to be missing those pleasures in the future. No laughing matter, this. I was serious. I value her as a good and lasting friend. Most assuredly I want her here this side the here after for a continued spell. Bottom line, diagnosed with a heart problem and on varied medications, I’ve been there, known that. And I understand the need she be mindful what her body needs requiring an adjustment now‘n’then in her medications, dosages. This is a serious part of her life’s game plan for the present.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We’ve a measurable snow this AM. As compared to yesterday I’ve got to rethink my outside wear particularly gloves. Speaking of Gloves sitting here I was seeing my gloves laying on a woodstove trivet. Frieda walking by I asked her to check them as to whether they were done? They must have been warm as it didn’t take her long to check them out. Plop plop, biz biz, she dropped them gloves post quickly awhile verbally suggesting “They’re well done.”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Was a slow day today. Taken care of animals helped load some for a customer. We‘ve five less steers to feed. Looked to some shop time I didn’t get into. Lot a good it did me dressing warmer. Naver got to doing anything worth while. Well almost nothing.
My lower back so sore, and thinking I had slipped something day before yesterday putting a repaired three piece hay feeder together. My lower body sending messages of desperation upstairs I was stooping low enough I wanted my chiropractor. Loading my pain carcass in Greene I drove a mile north downtown Otisville to find the bone cracked had taken the day off. So’s not all was lost I was but a quarter mile from a scrap recycling yard where I had seen an agricultural pre air cleaner engine air cleaner. Knowing where I had seen it, the machine supposedly still there, it was what the H___ happened to the combine I was going to part’s rob? Oh well easily found it could just as easily be forgotten. Greene parked I got out and walked over the very ground that case combine had been sitting on. And, then there what to the wonderment my eye did I see the very part I had wanted. I picked it up sort of, gave it a yank and it came out of the pile of machinery rubble where in I had seen it.
In my hands a couple pieces of slightly bent bar stock attached to it I looked that part of the item I was most interested in and saw the plastic cup was broken. No matter the most important metal parts were still intact. I had my prize and money’s exchanged hands it was still a bargain replacement for one of the 1850 Oliver’s.
Well, in my ramblings around about the farms I had me enough exercise I needn’t bother even trying to see my bone cracker tomorrow. His loss as it turned out was my part’s gain along with a few bucks saved. (hehe) Brian will never know the bucks he didn’t make off me today!

Coumadin

I don’t know who all reading me may be on this rat poison stuff. It kind-a had me wondering what was the need of the person was who had verbally pointed out I had been diagnosed heart problem annd prescribed this sending my on my way rat poison. What am I some kind of a rat. All my unnaturally lived life nobody ever called me a a rat, then all of a sudden I are one. What is this? I hear this analogy from a smart arse. The one who should know me best ain’t ever said anything like, “You’re a rat!” to me. So now my reader is wondering what’s wrong with this a-hole writing crap like this. Now, all of a sudden so am I?
My first thought this waking morning come to me my hand massaging the back of my neck all the little swellings having gone down. No, not the one big swelling liken a buck in rut. They’s was all them little swellings like what a little kid gets along with a sun burned neck.
What it all boils down to is my favorite hat’s failure. I explain with a big “X!” Ever since I been prescribed his terrible life saving drug given for a rat shortly into the first days my taken it my ears bled, The tops of my ears. What was this? The coumadin it turns out is a blood thinner. Perhaps making it even less wholesome for the lady vampire’s diet of tastes. Regardless I was finally informed I must protect myself from the sun. my first order of the period of the days ahead I had to have wide brimmed hats. One of the first two, narrowing my first choices down to two, one of them a cotton polyester 40-60% mix I picked up during a spring sale at my pharmacist’s. That poor hat under the sun’s continuous use on my head the last three summers has been more use that it could take. The nice wide brim that had protected my ears and neck from the ravages of the sun’s beating on these exposed skins. Only three years use the brim is coming apart where the brim attaches to the crown. The treads and materials have done rotted off my head. Not any easier tying my shoes either with the extra shoe string hanging to dumb low hats lacing’s trying to become involved with my shoelace tyings. Sadly it has come time I must give up an old friend, my Australian styled hat. (sniff)
My work day world was a couple quick whirls. Okay as the usual I fed my ladies. More importantly I took care bundling/packaging my brother’s mounting trash for tomorrow’s pickup. By the time I had finished the fancy trash wrapping my fingers so cold they felt as if they were ready to fall off. I bowed out any further down the road activities until I had some normal feeling back in my hands. My second break of the day I kept the lady of my house company for a spell. When my hands were feeling mucho bunches of better feelings I returned back down the road. A bit of either shot down an 1850’s air intake, what had it is water-jacket heated plugged in for a couple hours easily started for me. Wondervar. The tractor started right up. While the engine warmed I wound up my modified power-cord reel. Must take a picture of that modification one these days. Engine warmed up, oil pressure good I backed the 1850 up to the 605 baler. For hook up. Hen when all was readied I took it up the hill and down the other side for the winter’s storage shed. Opening the doors, darn there set a pallet load of varied machinery parts in my way. Shucks. Well I needed the walks exercise up over the hill for the JD loader taken shelter in the shop. Bringing it out Bro’ tried heading me off. (hehehe) I out flanked him. I was going to finish my task first. He’d had all afternoon to have been first. (ha) I was finishing mine first. The pallet, sticking his nose in, Bro’ pushed it further into the shed to comfortably rest under the coming or going the Baler, and that’s just what I done parking it so over that loaded pallet. The baler inside I bid Bro’ farewell as he took away the loader to hay his ladies. It weren’t long and both our needs contended to, I was parking the equipment used and on my way home by quarter of dark.
