Odd Balls

I like reading Miss Paula’s animal stories about furry friends Susie in the car port, Ginger and her new found cohort pasture grazing. Some cold blooded amphibious friends making a Texas tank their home. And how about some them odd ball tenants coming and going in and out of Miss Paula’s varied neighborhoods.
But then, what or who are the odd balls? Those folks who pack up, pickup and go place to place as a whim serves them? Or, are I the odd ball always staying so close to home taking in the animal sights right here in my own back and neighboring yards. There are all my ladies coming up to see me or is that so I may see them, admire them as the likings their human counterparts.
Holy smokems, I had caught a glimpse of what I though might have been a big calf, only the color was a a couple shades lighter, what had crossed the road and perhaps seeing me ducked into another neighbors corn field. Only as I had gotten closer to the place I had thought I had seen a wayward critter, I was walking on the tractor brakes for a couple bucks in the velvet with no cares in the world just a trotting from one side the road to the other. Ah ha, me thinks it safe to say that first critter weren’t a critter at all. “Just don’t go to far fellows. I‘d like to be inviting you to join me at my diner table this fall.“ No hurt intended, I just want eat you’s for dinner.

Happy days are here again
The skies above are clear again
I’m singing a song of cheer again
Happy days are here again

Albeit I shout it now
There's no one who can doubt it now
So I tell the world about it now
Happy days are here again

My Ugly cares and troubles are gone
There'll be more from now on
From now on happy days are here again
The skies above me are clear again
So, I’ll sing my song of cheer again
Ugly’s out on the road again

Raymond (both of us) fed up Ugly’s continued refusal to run Ray took me in tow. I had to go as I was needed to steer Ugly there. I followed my brother’s lead, on a chain passed through a piece of pipe, we went to see Mr. Goodwrench’s mechanic; the repair manual writer, the GM professor, a mechanics’ teacher. It was the best $20.00 bucks I’ve ever spent in a long time. Yes, oh happy day!
All this was this afternoon.

For the morning’s start I had started the Shultz Oliver bringing it and the rotary mower up along side the house for a temporary parking. I had to move this equipment so I could open the pasture it had been sitting in to the ladies. Then when the ladies had been taken care of the Shultz Oliver refused to start for three whole demanded attention hours. Remarkably the two eight year old batteries checked out to be in tip top shape/strength wise liking new. Was found four out of the battery cable connections were compromised with terminal insulating corrosion. It was a long take it apart, clean it, and put it back together morning.

A hundred yrs ago with the new fangled motorized buggies shouts were heard, “Get out and get under.” That truth still applies today only its more like, “Get off and get under.” That's me under looking a battery ground cable of Gear case.

It wasn’t a particularly hard long day. However I only last so long regardless. Getting in shortly after 6:30 PM I had had enough the 10 hr’s of the last 10 1/2 hr’s. BGKC.

Hang onto your seat. I think Cliff's about to purchase another Oliver which will make three: The 1855 and Super 55 he already has, and now a 550.
Somebody just shoot me.
